- How do I start blogging?

On the 'Home Page' simply select 'Register' at the top left or click on 'new user' text on the user login box. This takes you to the registration form which needs to be completed. Select 'accept terms' and 'submit'. You are now registered and ready to start your first blog. |

The next form will create your URL and ask more details about yourself and your first blog. (These details can be edited later through the settings module if required.) You have created your new blog and now you must add entries. In the 'Control Panel' click on the name of your blog and 'Add Entry'. |

- I registered and created my first blog yesterday, how do I log-in to write more blogs or entries?

Yes, simply click 'Change Password' (under your profile photo/image) from the control panel.
- Do I always have to pick a subject and a title for my blog?
Yes, you must choose a category/subject and a title for your blog. On creating a new blog you will be asked for the subject/category and title of the intended blog. We have tried to cover a broad range of categories, however if you think that there is one that we could add, please contact us and let us know. If you wish to write about several completely different categories, it is probably best to create a different blog for each subject/category. This allows each blog to be optimized for the search engines and may result in more visitors to your blog.
- How do I send messages?
From your control panel click on 'Messages' tab and you will be offered a screen similar to an email where you can type in the members name and compose the message.
- Who can read the messages?
Just like email, you are the only one who will be able to read messages sent to your inbox. Likewise, messages sent out from you to another user can only be viewed by that user.
- Who can leave messages? (Do I have to be a member?)
Yes, you must first register with www.blogfreehere.com before you are able to send and receive messages
- If I get a message, how will I know?
When you go to your control panel, on the 'messages' tab, there will display the number of messages received. To view the messages, simply click on the 'messages' tab and view messages from list.
- How Do I respond to a message?
Once you have logged in, go to your control panel, select the 'messages' tab, here you will you see a list of messages that have been sent to you. Click on the message to read and when ready to reply, simply click the 'reply' button. Next type in the subject of your message (if required) and then the message. Click 'send' button when complete.
- How can I comment on a blog?
Click the 'leave a comment' tab at the bottom of each blog.
- How can I stop people from viewing/commenting on my blog?
In the control panel, select the settings icon for the blog. This will take you to the General Settings page. Select the 'Comment Settings' tab and select your desired settings of the blog. Once you have made the changes, don't forget to click 'Save Changes' button.
- How can I delete comments?
At the bottom of each entry comments are displayed, below each comment the owner of the blog can choose to delete the comment.
- Will bad language or hate, abusive, inappropriate posts be censored?
Yes. You must agree to our Terms and Conditions in which we state that whilst using the BlogFreeHere website we ask you to conduct yourself in a respectable manner. There must be no bad language or inappropriate, unpleasant comments. This includes and is not limited to any published material, messages posted or emails. Moderators will be appointed and if we do come across inappropriate use of the service we have the right to terminate that member.
- Can I volunteer to be a site moderator for the above? If so how do I do this?

- How much space can I have?
At the moment the space allowed is unlimited. This may be amended at a later date.
- How do I add photos of different types, sizes and perspectives.

In the compose entry section, click the image icon. This brings you to the Image Properties panel where you click on 'Upload'. |

From the Upload screen, browse to the image you require and select 'Send to Server' button.
Your image will be previewed in the image properties screen. This is where you can adjust the size and position of your image. Pressing 'ok' places the image on your blog entry.

Images in the profile section has to be a set size to fit the page. This is 150 × 150.
To upload images in the 'Profile' section. Go to 'Control Panel', 'Edit Profile', 'Browse' for image, 'Send to Server' and your new image will appear in your Profile.

Uploading images to your 'Photo Album' is a similar process. Here you have the advantage of 'posting' your image to a blog as an entry.
Under 'Photos & Files', 'Photo Album' browse to the image you want and click 'Upload File' button. If you want to post your image to a blog, select 'Post' and the blog. Your image will be posted to an new entry.

- Is the site SEO (Search Engine Optimised) for the major search engines?
Yes. For best results, make sure that you fill in Meta tags box and descriptions for your blog in the settings page. You can also make sure your blog is linked to some of the major link sites.
- How can I link it to my other blogs on other sites?
On your other blogs, log in to the control panel/dashboard then go to the link section and add this blog's url as a link, which will display on the left/right panel in the link section of your blog on the other site.
Secondly you can do is in the entry of the blog on the other site, you can add this url as a link, which will display on the entry page/posting of your blog on the other site.
- How can I make money with my blog?

- What does ping mean?
Blog pinging is the tool that sends an XML-RPC signal to one or more "ping servers" or "blog search engines". This helps to collect the new blog/updated blog/new blog entry/updated blog entry. So the fresh information is available on all "ping servers" and "blog search engines". This tool gives an opportunity to get the widest possible publicity far more quickly.
- If I want to add a contact (friend) how do I let them know?
Contacting, making friends or associates is an important part of blogging. You want your blogs to get maximum exposure and this is one way to do it. It also encourages valuable multiple linking.
(1) Once you know who you wish to invite as your contact/friend, go to friends tab -> add friends, enter their login name and click 'Add friend'.
(2) In the profile tab go to search profile. In result list of search profile page, there is "add to friend" link in action column.
In above two scenarios, the invited user will be notified with a friend request. Once they accept the request they will be listed in your friend list.
- How do I invite a friend to join my particular blog?
Go to friends tab, check friends from the list whom you want to invite to your blogs. Then click on "Invite For Blog" button. This will take you to the list of your blogs page. You can select which blog you would like your friend to join and an invitation will be sent to them.
- If someone asks me to become a friend/contact/associate, how will I know and how do I respond?
When you log in and go to your 'control panel' you will be advised that someone has requested that you become a contact. You can accept or decline this invitation.
- What is AdSense?
AdSense is an ad serving program run by Google. Website owners can enroll in this program, through blogfreehere, to enable text, image and, more recently, video advertisements on their sites.
